Cherokee is an MFT/Arabian cross. He is great on the trail in groups. I am sure with time he would be great out alone, but I haven't done that with him, and he needs a confident as well as assertive rider. He has always been pretty good on trails... but he will test you and try to take advantage. He is a people horse and loves attention. He is barefoot (he has healthy size 2 feet), healthy and sound, as well as an easy keeper. His breed is Foxtrotter/Arab, he is NOT gaited. I am only selling because he is a bit rough at the trot since I had surgery on my back, otherwise I would send him to a trainer and keep him. He is not finished, but when I was riding him two summers ago, we were working on sidepassing and moving off the leg, and he was doing well... hard to make significant progress when you don't have a chance to ride regularily. I rode him in a parade a few years ago, and to my knowledge it was his first.. he did extremely well. He has been ridden by a few different people this summer and does well. Check out both my horses for sale on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/dchfs
I am asking $1000 but I am motivated and am negotiable for the right person.
